CaterZen By Restaurant & Catering Systems (hereafter referred to as CaterZen) and any related or affiliate entities respect and protect the privacy of the individuals that use the CaterZen website and services. Individually identifiable information about you is not willfully disclosed to any third party without first receiving your permission, as explained in this privacy policy.
CaterZen and Cookies
Upon your first visit to the CaterZen website, CaterZen sends a "cookie" to your computer. A cookie is a piece of data that identifies you as a unique user. CaterZen uses cookies to improve the quality of our service and to understand our user base more. CaterZen does this by storing user preferences in cookies and by tracking user trends and patterns of how people search. CaterZen will not disclose its cookies to third parties except as required by a valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order.
Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Be aware, however, that many parts of the CaterZen may not function properly if you refuse cookies.
What Information Do We Collect?
CaterZen does not collect any unique information about you (such as your name, email address, etc.) except when you specifically and knowingly provide such information. CaterZen notes and saves information such as time of day, browser type, browser language, and IP address with each query. That information is used to verify our records and to provide more relevant services to users.
With Whom Does CaterZen Share Information?
CaterZen does share information about you to the restaurant(s) you register and/or order items from. CaterZen may share information about you with advertisers, business partners, sponsors, and other third parties. However, we only divulge aggregate information about our users and will not share personally identifiable information with any third party without your express consent. For example, we may disclose how frequently the average CaterZen user visits CaterZen. Please be aware, however, that we will release specific personal information about you if required to do so in order to comply with any valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order.
Google Integrations
If you activate our Google integration module, we will store in our system some of the data which Google makes available to us through their APIs.
Specifically, when you use our Google Calendar integration, we will update your calendar with events from CaterZen. We will also read your calendar to determine your availability for use in our Book-A-Meeting module.
When you use our Gmail integration, we will store the email address of your connected account. We also have access to read your emails which allows CaterZen to store a copy of a contact's email in their CaterZen CRM record. You also have the ability to send emails through your CaterZen CRM.
Additional Limits on Use of Your Google User Data:
Notwithstanding anything else in this Privacy Policy, if you provide CaterZen access to your Google data, CaterZen's use of that data will be subject to these additional restrictions:
- CaterZen will only use access to read, write, modify or control Gmail message bodies (including attachments), metadata, headers, and settings to provide an integration with the CaterZen CRM that allows users to compose, send, read, and process emails and will not transfer this Gmail data to others unless doing so is necessary to provide and improve these features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- CaterZen will not use this Gmail data for serving advertisements.
- CaterZen will not allow humans to read this data unless we have your affirmative agreement for specific messages, doing so is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with applicable law, or for CaterZen's internal operations and even then only when the data have been aggregated and anonymized.
Your consent and changes to the Privacy Policy
By using the CaterZen service and our restaurant(s) web site(s), you consent to the collection and use of your information as we have outlined in this policy and to our Terms of Service Policy. CaterZen may decide to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of the information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
